Since the average person spends 18 hours a day inside their home, we have become more aware of the importance of our indoor air quality.  For this reason the air that we breath is very critical. Merv is the system we use to measure a filters quality. A higher Merv rating equals a higher filtration, but with a higher Merv rating you need a bigger filter. A typical ducted system comes with a cheap 1" filter that has a low Merv rating. By adding a 5" filter you can achieve a higher Merv rating which will take out Bacteria, Pollin and other pollutants in the air.

Another great addition to add to indoor air quality is UV lights. These UV lights steralize the air and kill bacteria and virus' found in your duct work.
